About me:
Hi, I'm Gabrielle. I hold a Master of Counselling (MEd, University of Toronto), and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). As a late-diagnosed autistic and ADHD therapist, I am passionate about helping neurodivergent people better understand themselves and make sense of their experiences.
I work with neurodivergent folks and folks living with chronic illness — two experiences that, in different ways, often bring the same emotional weight: burnout, identity shifts, boundary setting, grief, anxiety, and the feeling of being misunderstood. My background as a Registered Nurse (BScN, University of British Columbia) shapes how I work with clients living with chronic illness; I understand the medical system, what it means to receive a difficult diagnosis, and the emotional terrain of ongoing illness.
My approach is grounded in curiosity, warmth, and compassion. I draw on attachment-based approaches alongside psycho-education, offering practical tools and strategies clients can apply in everyday life to create meaningful, sustainable change.
My goal is to help clients build lives that feel authentic, manageable, and aligned with who they truly are. In practice, that often means exploring identity and values, building emotional regulation, improving communication, and developing practical skills.
